Convert a TikTok video to MP3

Want the voice-over, a talk or the music of a TikTok you are allowed to keep? Paste the link of the public video, open the Audio tab and VidFetch encodes its soundtrack into an MP3 file at 192 kbps for compatible audio players.

Paste the link of a public TikTok video, or the whole share message copied from the app.

Links look like tiktok.com/@…/video/…vm.tiktok.com/…tiktok.com/t/…

How to convert a TikTok to MP3

  1. Copy the link of the TikTok video: Share, then Copy link in the app, or the page address on a computer.
  2. Paste it in the field above and select Extract.
  3. Open the Audio tab, choose MP3 and select Download. Keep the page open until the file is saved.

What the MP3 contains and its limits

  • Any public TikTok video link, including vm.tiktok.com and tiktok.com/t/ short links
  • MP3 encoded with ffmpeg at 192 kbps from the video's soundtrack
  • Videos up to 30 minutes
  • The MP3 comes from a specific video: TikTok sound pages (/music/…) and playlists are not supported.
  • The audio is converted from the soundtrack TikTok serves; it cannot be better than that source.
  • Music in a video may be protected by copyright: only keep audio you have the right to use.
  • Daily UTC caps: 8 preparations and 1 GiB reserved per browser identity and per source IP, plus 100 preparations and 4 GiB service-wide. One operation runs at a time; the current OVH waiting queue holds 2 requests.
  • Each preparation is limited to 10 minutes.
  • The service output limit is 256 MiB per file; the video can be up to 30 minutes long.

Where the MP3 is saved on a phone

On an iPhone, Safari keeps the MP3 in the Downloads folder of the Files app, where you can play it or share it to another app. On Android, Chrome lists it under Downloads in its menu, and the file sits in your phone's download location with your other downloaded files.

The MP3 is a file on your device: it does not appear in the library of a music streaming app.

MP3 or an original audio track?

When the Audio tab lists an original track, that file keeps the format TikTok serves, without conversion. The MP3 option is a new 192 kbps encoding of the soundtrack, made for older players, car stereos and editing software that expect MP3.

Choose the original track when it is offered and your player accepts it; choose MP3 when a device or an app asks for that format. Neither option can make the sound better than its source.

Music in TikTok videos and your rights

Many TikTok videos use commercial songs that the creator or TikTok may use on the platform. Saving a soundtrack as an MP3 does not give you any right to publish, sell or reuse that music elsewhere.

The safest audio to keep is your own: a voice-over you recorded, a talk you gave, or a sound whose creator allows you to reuse it.

TikTok to MP3 questions

Is the file a real MP3?

Yes. The soundtrack is decoded and re-encoded with ffmpeg as an MP3 at 192 kbps; it is not a video file renamed to .mp3.

Can I download a sound from its TikTok sound page?

No. Paste the link of a video that uses the sound instead; VidFetch converts the audio of that video.

Will the MP3 play on my phone or in my car?

MP3 is supported by practically every phone, computer, car stereo and audio editor, which is why VidFetch uses it for audio downloads.

What bitrate is the MP3? Can I get 320 kbps?

The MP3 is encoded at 192 kbps. A higher bitrate would not make it better than its source: the file is made from the soundtrack TikTok serves, and re-encoding cannot add detail that is not in that source.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Open VidFetch in your phone's browser, paste the link copied from the TikTok app, open the Audio tab and download: the browser saves the MP3 like any other downloaded file.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

Yes, it is free, with no account, no app and no sign-in. The daily preparation and data quotas above also apply.
